5th July 2018, Indonesia: As of today, millennial subscribers of Tri (3) Indonesia can purchase apps from the Google Play Store via direct billing. The partnership with DOCOMO Digital, the leading global mobile commerce solution provider, enables susbcribers to easily purchase apps on Google Play Store and charge them to their mobile prepaid credits or mobile phone bill.
With Indonesia only having a 6.6%* credit card penetration, the vast majority of the population are limited for options or unable to enjoy digital content easily. This is the main reason why mobile operator billing is an essential payment method for digital content monetization.

“The Digital lifestyle is at the heart of our millennial subscriber base.. With this partnership we are able to give our subscribers, almost 90% of which are Android users, access to amazing GooglePlay content and applications without the need for a credit card to make a purchase,”said Dolly Susanto, Chief Commercial Officer 3Indonesia.
”We are delighted to extend our successful relationship with the Hutchinson Group by bringing direct carrier billing to Tri (3) customers in Indonesia. Ensuring content is easily available to any mobile customer is critical to the service offering and the demands of the consumer,” said, Hiroyuki Sato, CEO of DOCOMO Digital
