Tri (3) GSM Provider collaborates with DOCOMO Digital to introduce mobile operator billing for Google Play Store

5th July 2018, Indonesia: As of today, millennial subscribers of Tri (3) Indonesia can purchase apps from the Google Play Store via direct billing. The partnership with DOCOMO Digital, the leading global mobile commerce solution provider, enables susbcribers to easily purchase apps on Google Play Store and charge them to their mobile prepaid credits or mobile phone bill.

With Indonesia only having a 6.6%* credit card penetration, the vast majority of the population are limited for options or unable to enjoy digital content easily. This is the main reason why mobile operator billing is an essential payment method for digital content monetization.

Hutchinson Group started the long term partnership with DOCOMO Digital back in 2013 and has successfully rolled out Google Play Store billing for several 3 Mobile Operators such as, “3” in Sweden, Ireland, Hong Kong and now Indonesia.
