LONDON: Global m-commerce enabler DOCOMO Digital has finalised its acquisition of net mobile AG (net-m), the world market leader in Google Carrier Billing, gaining 100% ownership of the company.
It follows the original acquisition of 79.95% of the shares in 2009. Since then DOCOMO Digital gradually increased its shareholding in the company up to 95% in 2016. This has allowed a squeeze out to take place to grow DOCOMO Digital’s stake to 100% of net -m.
Edgar Schnorpfeil, Chief Operating Officer of DOCOMO Digital and CEO of net mobile AG commented:

DOCOMO Digital, which officially launched at Mobile World Congress in February 2016 brings together key assets and capabilities to enable mobile commerce for mobile network operators, digital and real-world service providers, merchants and regulators. In a nutshell, it provides expertise, technology and operational services to bring to life next generation mobile commerce platforms.
